How we work

Travel advice with the transfer time left in

Tourism.ph is an independent planning publication built to make Philippines routes clearer, calmer, and more honest.

Why Tourism.ph exists

The Philippines is easy to dream about and surprisingly easy to over-plan. A route that looks neat on a map can hide terminal changes, ferry cutoffs, long vans, and weather exposure. We focus on the decisions that shape the trip: which regions fit, where to base yourself, and what should stay flexible.

Our editorial standard

Every guide should answer a real planning question, show the tradeoffs, and separate stable advice from details that must be rechecked. We prefer official tourism offices, weather agencies, airports, protected-area managers, and operators’ own schedules for factual verification.

We do not claim first-hand experience we cannot demonstrate. Recommendations are framed as planning judgments and are revisited when routes or rules change. Every guide shows its latest editorial update.

How we make money

Some links to flights, accommodation, tours, eSIMs, and travel services are affiliate links. If a reader books through one, Tourism.ph may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate relationships do not purchase favorable coverage.

Our standard: route fit first, total reader value second, affiliate availability third. If we do not have a suitable affiliate link, we would rather publish a useful guide without one.
