Alona concentrates dive operators and visitor services, making last-minute comparison easier. Marine-tour meeting points vary, however, and not every boat leaves from the same section of beach. Ask for the exact check-in location.

From Dumaluan or Bolod, many operators can arrange pickup, but it may cost extra or start earlier. Both areas remain workable for the Bohol countryside loop because that day requires road transport regardless. Airport convenience depends on the exact hotel, not only the beach name.

For five nights or more, either works; the quality and location of the actual property become more important than the neighborhood winner.

Do not split between Alona and Dumaluan on a short stay. They are close enough to visit and different enough to choose, but moving rooms adds little value.
